JUNIOR CHURCH FOR THE 7-11'S

We are Shirley Methodist Church Junior-A-Team for the 7 to 11 year old age group. We meet on Sunday mornings during morning worship between 10.30a.m. and 11.30a.m.

We have a varied programme of activities which includes sharing news, drama, reading, singing, art and craft, and playing games. There are always some adults on hand to lead the activities and we usually try to link each week's activities over the course of a month. We usually follow a theme provided either by a leader or modern learning tools. We also organise activities like ten-pin bowling, barbecues and parties. Recent Sunday morning activities have involved the environment including actually recycling paper into new materials. The exciting part was seeing the new material made.

We also welcome the young people suggesting activities that they themselves would like to do - so please come with your ideas - or your desire to try something new!
