Choir

The Church Choir is a traditional four part mixed choir open to all ages.  We meet on Fridays at 8.00pm in the church and sing a wide variety of music in many different  styles.  Our main purpose is to lead worship on Sundays.  We do this by preparing the hymns and singing and introit each Sunday.  We sing anthems on special occasions as well as during communion.

On Palm Sunday evening we lead worship with music suitable for Passiontide.  Recent works have included Stainer's 'Crucifixion',  Lloyd Webber's 'The Saviour' and Faure's 'Requiem'.

We give two concerts each year.  At Christmas we join with a local school for an afternoon of seasonal fun and we present our Summer concert in July.  We sometimes join with other local choirs to present a joint concert.
