Bowling

                                     The club was set up in June 1995 at the request of the Church Council for the general need to provide a bridge between the Church and community at large, and the specific requirements to provide a good environment for SHORT MAT INDOOR BOWLING.  We have about 130 members.

The whole conduct of our affairs, within this spirit, is according to the highest principles of sportsmanship, loyalty and good fellowship, and generally adopting the terms and conditions of the English Short Mat Bowling Association

Two good mats with the necessary equipment are available together with an adequate selection of bowls of varying sizes, and games are played in a large hall with controlled heating, good lighting, and comfortable seating for spectators.  Light refreshments are always available.

Supervised sessions of three one-hour periods are held on each Monday and Thursday from 1pm to 4pm, and on Friday evening from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.  Sessions are open to ALL

Normally two to three social events are arranged each year which are always well subscribed.
